Besan ki ladoos are very popular in India. It is very easy to make them.

You can also make them a festival or auspicious occasion. 
Surprise your family and countrymen by making Besan Ladoos themselves during the festival season.

You can add almonds if you want.

Besan ladoos are evergreen, which can be made from very little material.

Ingredients for making Besan Laddus


  • Besan, sugar, ghee, and almonds or pistachios are required to make ladoos. The shelf life of gram flour ladoos is quite long.
  • 2 cups gram flour
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • (powdered) cup sugar
  • ¼ cardamom powder
  • Almonds, sliced
  • Silverwork
  • Pistachios, sliced

  • Preparation Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook time: 1 hour

Method of making Besan Ladoos

  • Mix the ghee and gram flour in the pan and leave the curry on a low flame for 30 minutes. Fry it till its color turns brown.

  • Its color should be light brown. Turn off the heat and allow this mixture to cool completely.

  • After this keep it to cool down. When cooled, mix sugar powder and cardamom powder in it.

  • You can keep these laddus an airtight compartment for 5 to 7weeks.

  • After mixing both the things well, prepare the laddus using your palms.

  • Apply silverwork and almonds on it for garnishing.  


Do not add boora to the hot gram flour. Add the boora only when the gram flour cools 

down because mixing boora in the hot gram flour makes the bora melt.
