Cut the paneer into square pieces, put oil in the pan and heat it, and fry the paneer till it becomes light golden. Then pour it in the warm water. You can add paneer even without frying it.

Material


Ingredients for Paneer Masala
1 1/2 cups pieces of cottage cheese
1 tbsp oil
1 cup finely chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup fresh cream
Salt as per taste

To make a fine paste by grinding 


  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 2/3 cup chopped onions
  • 2 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tbsp fresh grated coconut
  • 2 pieces of cinnamon
  • 2 cloves
  • 5 dry kashmiri red chillies, broken
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 1 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 4 garlic cloves



Method

Recipe for Paneer Masala
Heat the oil in a pan, add the prepared paste and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
Add the cream, 1/2 cup water and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 5 to 6 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
Add cottage cheese and mix lightly and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes while stirring occasionally. Serve hot with parathas.


To make Masala Paste for Paneer Masala

To make the masala-mix paste for the paneer masala recipe, take roughly chopped onions in a mixer jar.Add poppy seeds. Add garlic, cinnamon, cumin, cloves and pepper.

Make a soft paste with the help of 1/4 cup of water Heat the oil in a deep non-stick wok.
After the oil is heated, add the prepared paste. Cook on a medium flame while stirring occasionally.


  • Add chopped tomatoes
  • Add cream
  • Add salt.
  • Add 1/2 cup of water. 


You can fix the consistency by adding more or less water as per your choice.
Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 5 to 4 minutes, while stirring occasionally. 
Don't forget to keep stirring or else it will stick to the bottom of the pan.

Add cottage cheese
immediately, do not add the cheese cubes, as the cheese will become chewy when overcooked.
